Anna Comer // maker, crafter, and designer. I have always known I would take a more non-traditional approach to work and my home. I knew I would build some sort of creative career, and slow-paced way of life. However, I  had no idea I would end up here! I live off the coast of North Carolina and spend most of my days working with my hands making artwork, diy-ing a home project, designing elements for my clients, or enjoying afternoons at the beach. I feel so blessed to get to do what I do for work and see so many of my passions come to life on a regular basis.

Building Your Capsule Collection

In this day and age we are constantly being marketed to and find ourselves in a society that tells us we need more and more to feel satisfied, fulfilled and enough. But the truth is we have everything that we need. The process of contentment starts with gratitude, and then assessing what we already have in our possession.

When I began my journey towards finding contentment in the physical world so-to-speak, I started with my closet because clothes were the thing I would always find myself over consuming. I decided to create a capsule wardrobe of 30 items and commit to wearing only those items for 30 days. The capsule was made up of clothing I already had in my closet so I didn't need to go out and buy anything new. 

I learned so much those first 30 days, I kept my capsule going and now it's been a year and a half. It's taught me gratitude. It's shown me the value of things. I've learned to question my impulse purchases, etc. I cannot recommend minimizing your wardrobe enough.
